Amazing product.
Acts as a battery, recorder, looper, composer, all quickly configurable, all wireless.
Incredible all the possibilities of this device.
Really happy with my purchase.

A complete beginner in percussion, put off by the drum pads of master keyboards (you have to connect the computer, launch the DAW, settle into the dedicated room... pfff...), I wasn't sure I could get started.
None of that with the FGDP 50. You turn it on and it works! The built-in speaker naturally struggles a bit to render the bass of the kick drum, but that's enough for practice or a session accompanying acoustic instruments. However, when connected to an amp, speakers, or simple headphones, the sound is truly impressively realistic. The sensitivity of the keys is, in my view, excellent (velocity and "after-touch").
One small reservation concerns the absence of a user manual: only the quick start guide is included, very brief. For the user manual (135 pages, in French), you have to connect to Yamaha's website to download it in PDF and print it yourself (= a printer cartridge!).
Yamaha has published 7 well-designed small learning videos on YouTube. If you want more, they offer registration for 40 free lessons on Melodics (all in English). I haven't tried it yet.
Overall fully satisfied with my purchase, especially since the selling price has dropped by about a hundred euros compared to the launch price.

This product is really what I expected the best, I have a small studio and I wanted to invest in a groove box for my percussion. The product is great and especially fully compatible with Groove Agent on Cubase. No regrets.
